Timothy R. Akers, Jr. // Associate

Mr. Akers was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. After attending St. Elizabeth High School, he received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware and graduated cum laude from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2019. He was a staff member of the Delaware Journal of Corporate and the Vice President of Interscholastic Competitions for the Moot Court Honor Society for which he also competed in five oral advocacy competitions and was inducted into the Order of Barristers.

Prior to joining Ferry Joseph, P.A., Tim worked as a Senior Telecommunications Specialist for the Delaware State Police and in a legal administrative capacity for the Delaware Department of Justice. Mr. Akers primarily practices in the areas of Medicaid planning, estate planning (wills, trusts, power of attorney, advanced healthcare directives), estate administration and related litigation, fiduciary litigation, guardianship litigation, Elder Law, and General Civil Litigation.
