Ms. Coggins was born in Wilmington, Delaware. While attending law school at night she worked full time as a law clerk for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and then as a corporate bankruptcy paralegal until her graduation.
Ms. Coggins focuses her practice on commercial bankruptcy,
estate planning and administration, elder law, including
guardianship actions, workers compensation and business
formation. Ms. Coggins has represented individuals,
businesses, executors/personal representatives, trustees,
Chapter 7 trustees, litigation/liquidation trustees, plan
administrators and municipalities in various matters. Ms.
Coggins often serves
as a Court appointed attorney ad litem in guardianship actions
and is a
certified mediator for the Superior Court for the State of
Delaware, New Castle County. Additionally, Ms. Coggins
represents clients, pro bono, through Delaware Volunteer Legal
Services. In bankruptcy matters Ms. Coggins has represented clients as lead and local counsel in
various cases, including but not limited to, defending and
prosecuting preference actions filed in the District of
Delaware, defending and pursuing objections to claims, seeking
relief from the automatic stay and pursuing allowance of
administrative claims.
